As tennis professionals and coaches, our goal is to cater to our client’s tennis needs and maximize their potential. We strive to not only help improve your tennis game, but also to build friendships and bonds that extend beyond the tennis court.
Eric is co-owner of Chester Tennis Club. He has been a staple at the club since 2006 and has always found a way to bond with his students to bring out their best tennis. From adults to juniors, Eric has a way of forming relationships with his players that maximize their potential. Along with the role of owner, Eric is also Director of Tennis and will continue teaching lessons while working hard to modernize the club, deliver the latest technology to pros and players and provide everyone at Chester Tennis Club with the ultimate tennis experience. As a junior, Eric was ranked as high as #3 in the USTA Eastern Region and #60 Nationally. He was a member of the 4-time NJ State Champion Newark Academy Tennis Team. On the collegiate level, Eric played for Emory University which captured the 2003 Division III National Championship. Eric joined Fox Chase Tennis Club in 2006 and became the club's head pro in 2008. During his time here, he has steadily built a program that includes some of the area's top high school and tournament players. Eric is a certified PTR Tennis professional and has experience working with kids and adults at all levels from beginners to nationally ranked juniors.
Bryan is the co-owner of Chester Tennis Club. He has been working with juniors and adults at the club since 2007. Bryan oversees all club operations and continues to be very active on the court. "Our mission is to deliver the best tennis experience to everyone that walks through the door. We will continually update the club, its programs, and its systems to keep the CTC at the forefront of the industry." As a junior, Bryan grew up playing and competing in the NJ & NY area and eventually went on to play Division I college tennis at James Madison University, from where he graduated. In 2005, Bryan became a USPTA certified Tennis Professional. He has extensive experience running ladies team practices, adult & junior/kid's drills, and has worked with students of all levels from beginners to nationally ranked and collegiate players.
Gregg is the former owner of Fox Chase Tennis Club located in Chester, NJ. Gregg has an impressive and extensive tennis background, with expertise in teaching proper form, stroke production and strategy. Gregg played tennis and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Averett University in Danville, VA. Gregg's accomplishments include:
Certified National Tester for Professional Tennis Registry (PTR). Recognized as PTR's NJ "Pro of the Year" 2002 in New York City by former Mayor David Dinkins. Co-author of the acclaimed book "Munchkin Tennis" which is a best seller and one of the most highly regarded tennis books on junior tennis for tennis teaching professionals. In 1999, awarded the honor of "Clinician of the Year" at the Professional Tennis Registry annual symposium held in Hilton Head Island, SC.
Worked alongside legendary teaching professional Dennis Van Der Meer who described Gregg as, "One of the best tennis teachers of young children anywhere."
Gregg has appeared in the following publications: Sports Illustrated, Tennis Magazine, Family Life, USTA Tennis Magazine and was on the cover of Tennis Pro Magazine.
Alongside full-time coach John Hill, assisted in coaching former WTA player Jessica Steck in the U.S. Open, Miami Open, and other WTA events.
Patrick, a South Carolina native, competed at the tournament and collegiate levels throughout the south. He played Division II collegiate tennis for Francis Marion University where he received a B.A. in Business Management. Before joining Chester Tennis Club, Patrick spent two years serving as the Assistant Head Tennis Professional for Trump Nation Golf Club in Bedminster, NJ. Patrick is a USPTA certified tennis professional and currently serves as the Head Coach of the Gill St. Bernards upper and lower school tennis teams.
Ari Ash has been a full time teaching professional for the past 10 years. He was the Head Pro at Glen Ridge Country and Crestview Swim and Tennis. During this time, Ari was also the interim Head Coach at his Alma Mater, Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ. He then went on to become the full time Assistant Pro at the Beacon Hill Club in Summit, NJ where he taught tennis and platform tennis. Ari has worked with kids and adults of all levels and believes strongly in play based drills as a way to maximize a players potential.
